BLACK LOTUS BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU ACADEMY

Black Lotus was founded by Joe, Brian and Jeff in July of 2018. All three founders are from the Pedro Sauer association. Jeff received his blue belt and has been focusing on teaching the kids classes as he progresses through the ranks. Brian and Joe received their black belts from Master Sauer in 2017. We have two other morning instructors, Leo and Larry. Leo is a black belt under Master Sauer as well. Larry is a 3rd degree brown belt and came to us from the Royce Gracie association.

Our foundation is rooted in Gracie Jiu Jitsu and all together there is approximately 80 years of experience amongst all the instructors. Although our foundation is rooted in the basics we do have coaches that enjoy the sport and MMA aspect of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We work with all students to tailor their training towards whatever goals they may have. We are growing our kids program every day and are honored to watch them as they begin to understand this beautiful art we love.

We are a 2800’ foot facility with 2 bathrooms, three changing rooms, seating area and around 1000sq ft of 2” dollamur mats on an elevated platform. We are located 15 minutes west of downtown Cleveland in Fairview Park. ​
